Vincent & Philippe Jaboulet
Today Phillippe and Vincent Jaboulet, fith – and sixth generation winemakers respectively are both starting fresh and carrying on the Jaboulet family winemaking legacy in Crozes – Hermitage. With the winery owning around 30 hectares of vines (mostly Shiraz), and all grapes being sorted prior to production. Using modern winmaking equipment and techniques, along with their long history of family winemaking and attention to detail, their wines reflect the terroir of the Crozes – Hermitage region.
Created in 2007 and situated between the revered appellations of Gigondas and Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Domaine Rouge-Bleu cultivates its 9ha of land inspired by the core of biodynamic principles. Their vineyard spreads around their farm which was probably built 400 years ago.
Mostly composed of old vines, their wines are vinified in the pure tradition of the Rhône Valley, exuding the concentration and typicity of the terroir they originate from.
The diversity of the Rouge-Bleu vineyard coupled with their passion and devotion to making wine is reflected in the expression of their cuvées. This variety allows them to produce 3 reds, 1 white and 1 rosé, using traditional grape varieties from the region.
