Spotlight on Chateau de L’Ou  The Winemakers – Séverine et Philippe Bourrier

Love is the master word of this project: their Love of course, but also Love of wine, noble product of the Earth and Love of the challenges: to make wines “Haute Couture”, in Organic Farming, in Roussillon, and to make it known throughout the world.

Séverine grew up in Africa (hence her love for travel and open spaces) and returned to Bordeaux, her hometown to learn her work as an oenologist: what she is passionate about is alchemy as every different year turns grapes into wine.

Séverine will adapt her knowledge to the southern grape varieties (Syrah, Grenache, Mourvèdre …) and to the special conditions of the Roussillon terroir (arid lands, heat, drought) to create supple and fruity cuvées.
Her knowledge is applied in the barrel-aging of Syrah from three different terroirs, allowing it to obtain the silky tannins of Infiniment, Velours Noir and Secret de Schistes, regularly awarded in national and international competitions.

Her passion is unanimously recognized by the wine professionals and by all those who have been able to listen to her talk about her work.
